Abstract

This brief provides research-based strategies for supporting and retaining Generation Y teachers. It examines the policies and practices that the private-sector has adopted to attract top Gen Y talent to their workplaces and applies these to 10 strategies for school leaders to support effective teachers. Each strategy is adapted to meet the particular workplace needs of Gen Y.
